About the Cornwall Simmental Club
Cornwall
Simmental Club was founded in 1995 with the help and encouragement
of David Gaunt who was then general secretary of the Simmental
Society.
Our president (and original chairman) is John Langdon who was a well
respected breeder of Simmentals with his 'Carnon ' herd.
We are a friendly club and enjoy plenty of social activities during
the year. We aim to have at least one 'day trip' to visit herds and
places of interest, a summer B.B.Q combining a farm visit with a
sociable evening, and an Autumn 2 or 3 day trip away to visit other
Simmental herds. Some members of our club have had great success in
the show ring and the Royal Cornwall Show is THE place to go in
June.
We have a superb Club Stand where members and friends can gather to
share tea, cakes and a good chat.
This combined with other social activities such as talks, skittles
and our most enjoyable annual Dinner make our club well worth
joining to meet and chat with other people who share the passion for
Simmentals.
